This Lake looks like a wide river (on average 60 to 80 meters wide). The funds are very congested, ruins, ancient pavement, and strains. The tail of the dam consists of seagrass evolving from one bank to another.

The Angle Guignard dam is a dam constructed in 1951, located in the commune of La Réorthe, on the course of the Grand Lay. This reservoir spans 2 municipalities: Chantonnay and La Réorthe. It supplies a plant of drinking water with a capacity of 24 000 m³/day. This plant also deals with the waters of the Vouraie.
